C-13 r1
(e) MAJOR COMPONENTS OF MINING OPERATION
The major components of the Keenesburg Project include the open-cut mine pit excavation and the associated(wet
and dry)processing plant facility(with attendant fines recovery pit), in addition to other appurtenant infrastructure
features, as elsewhere depicted on Exhibit E-1: Mine Map, and as further described below.
Access into the so-defined Permit Area will be via a to-be-constructed roadway (hereafter referred to as the
perimeter"loadout loop")which will extend easterly off the main site access road at a point approximately 500-ft.
northeast of the gated entry, and then follow the Permit Area perimeter prior to returning to the main site access
road at a point approximately 100-ft.northeast of the gated entry. The loadout loop includes a truck scale proximal
to the product storage area(which is near the end of the loop;empty trucks will enter on the north side of the Permit
Area and proceed around to the scale area for product loading; and, once loaded, will proceed forward (one-way,
clockwise traffic configuration)to the main site access road for subsequent exit onto Weld County Road 59.
No improvements to either Weld County Road 59 or the ranch service road are planned. Further to this, the existing
roadside pull-out along the east side of Weld County Road 59 (an approximately 350-ft2 gravel-surfaced area)will
be maintained in its existing configuration,in order to facilitate ingress and egress through the gated entrance. While
no improvements to the area are planned, CSC will carry out routine maintenance (i.e., grading, dust suppression,
etc.) on both the existing road and pull-out area, as necessary.
