Homestake Mining Company June 17,2019
Regular(112d)Operation Reclamation Permit Application Package
4.10. Mill Site and Stormwater Pond
No reclamation activities are proposed for the Mill Site and Stormwater Pond area.
4.11. Haul and Access Roads
4.11.1. Haul Roads
No reclamation activities are proposed for the haul roads.
4.11.2. Forest Service Access Road
The SRCE model inputs for the Forest Service Access Road were based on the following
assumptions:
• Regrading associated with the United States Forest Service (USFS) Access Road
includes the minor recontouring and surface preparation to return the road to the approved
template and promote positive drainage. Quantities were estimated using the length of the
USFS Access Road (25,600 ft) for an average width of 25 ft, grading volumes assumed
an average depth of 1 ft.
• Scarify and Revegetation included scarifying the surface, and fertilizing and seeding
regraded slopes and terraces with the specified seed mix for the reclamation activities.
Quantities were estimated assuming that a 22 ft road width would be left in place, resulting
in the revegetation of the remaining 3 ft width multiplied by the length of the USFS Access
Road (25,600 ft)
Key SRCE Costing assumptions included the following:
• The recontouring equipment fleet was assigned as "Medium Excavator"within the model,
which corresponds with a Caterpillar 330C class Excavator. The scarifying/ripping fleet
was assigned as "Medium" within the model, which corresponds with a Caterpillar D8R
class Dozer fleet.
EXHIBIT L-RULE 6.4.12 (RECLAMATION COSTS)(Revised June 17,2019) Page 18
HOMESTAKE MINING COMPANY
