June 25,2019 C-1981-038/Bowie No. I Mine JHB
of non-noxious, quick-growing annual and perennial plants. Jointed goat grass (Aegilops cylindrica)is a noxious
species in Colorado as defined by the Colorado Department of Agriculture. It is defined as a"B" list species, and
as such requires control. The Division recognizes that this noxious species is prevalent though out the North Fork
Valley this spring. However, BRL must protect the limited topsoil resource. This species is a winter annual, and
is best treated in the Fall, after the first frost. BRL will need to treat the goat grass in the fall of 2019, and follow
up with seeding of an effective approved temporary cover seed mix to keep the topsoil stockpile from being re-
infested with noxious species.
DOCUMENTS RECEIVED NA
OTHER(SPECIFY) NA
ENFORCEMENT ACTIONS/COMPLIANCE
No enforcement actions were initiated as a result of this inspection, nor are any pending.
Number of Partial Inspection this Fiscal Year: 9
Number of Complete Inspections this Fiscal Year: 4
Page 4 of 9
