Basil Bear of Bowie Resources, LLC, was <br /> out of the office during this inspection. The work crew, Kenny, and Gary were in the office when records were <br /> being checked. Art was also in the office. No mine personnel accompanied the inspection. <br /> The weather was warm, dry and clear, with high cirrus clouds forming as the afternoon progressed. The mine is a <br /> reclaimed underground mine, with an inactive load out. <br /> AVAILABILITY OF RECORDS—Rule 5.02.4(1): <br /> The Mine records were checked at the Bowie No. 2 Mine office. The record were found to be complete <br /> and up to date. <br /> HYDROLOGIC BALANCE -Rule 4.05 <br /> Drainage Control 4.05.1, 4.05.2,4.05.3; Siltation Structures 4.05.5,4.05.6; Discharge Structures 4.05.7, 4.05.10; <br /> Diversions 4.05.4; Impoundments 4.05.6,4.05.9; Stream Buffer Zones 4.05.18: <br /> Only 4 ponds remain at the Bowie No. 1 permit. Two are located at the load out, and two ponds are <br /> located at the West mine. The two ponds at the West mine are approved to be reclaimed,but BRL does not think <br /> that the work will occur this summer. Six other ponds were reclaimed in 2017. <br /> The Highway coal stockpile pond was dry and showed no evidence of having discharged recently. The Load out <br /> pond had a thick cover of non-noxious grasses, and was dry. There was no seepage from the irrigation ditch along <br /> the north side of the pond, and the willows have not yet reestablished on the south end of the pond. The pond does <br /> not have a weed infestation at this time. <br /> The West Mine ponds were well vegetated and dry. <br /> The reclaimed east mine ponds 1 &2 were stable, and were establishing a perennial vegetative cover.
