Mr. Basil Bear represented Bowie Resources, <br />LLC, and accompanied the majority of the inspection.The mine is an underground mine that is currently idle. <br />Maintenince of the surface facilities and management of the Gob piles are the activities the remaining crew <br />continues to conduct. <br /> <br />The weather was clear and dry at the time of the inspection. <br />BACKFILL and GRADING – Rule 4.14 <br />Contemporaneous Reclamation 4.14.1; Approximate Original Contour 4.14.2; Highwall Elimination 4.14.1(2)(f); <br />Steep Slopes 4.14.2, 4.27; Stabilization of Rills and Gullies 4.14.6: <br /> The reclaimed slopes at the Hubbard Creek shaft area remain stable and well vegetated. <br /> <br />FISH and WILDLIFE – Rule 4.18: <br /> Numerous bear scat were observed on the road to the Terror Creek Vent shaft, though no bear were <br />encountered. <br /> <br />HYDROLOGIC BALANCE - Rule 4.05 <br />Drainage Control 4.05.1, 4.05.2, 4.05.3; Siltation Structures 4.05.5, 4.05.6; Diversions 4.05.4; Effluent Limits <br />4.05.2; Ground Water Monitoring 4.05.13; Surface Water Monitoring 4.05.13; Impoundments 4.05.6, 4.05.9; <br />Stream Buffer Zones 4.05.18: <br /> The Water monitoring well at the north end of the Hubbard Creek road is intact. Basil had noted new rock <br />fall in the area this spring but the well and casing were undamaged. <br /> <br />BRL has installed several rock check dams in ditch D-B15 that the Division had identified as down cutting in May <br />2019. These check dams appear to be keyed into the sides of the ditch. The rock check dams are small and do not <br />change the function of the ditch. The purpose of these rock check dams is to slow the flow, drop some of the <br />sediment load, and reduce the continued down cutting of the ditch. So far these check dams appear to be
