The Carr mine and
transload facility are also under the jurisdiction of a Weld County Use by Special Review Permit
(USR13-0065). Weld County's Weed Division inspects USR sites for compliance with weed
management and works with operators to improve conditions if needed.
The remaining area of the Carr Gravel Resource (located in Section 1) shall of course remain in the
DRMS mine permit. Some of the area has been mined, some partially reclaimed, and much has not yet
been affected. Mined product is sold from existing stockpiles. The area with partial reclamation is
along the north boundary of Section 1, where we have top-soiled and seeded.
If you have questions or need additional information, feel free to contact me at 303-286-2247, or
Imshults@lgeverist.com.
