Federal Lands 35.7 35.7
Affected Land 4,117 4,360.2
Approval of the changes proposed in AM-07 will amend Henderson acreages by adding a net total
of 243.2 acres to the Affected Land area as follows:
• 21.9 acres: URAD Wastewater Treatment Plant;
• 9.8 acres: Water conveyance pipeline between the Mine and URAD and proposed potential
URAD Wastewater Treatment Plant discharge relocation;
• 11.3 acres: Mine Site addition;
• 151.9 acres: Subsidence area; and
• 48.3 acres: Mine Site reconciliation.
Of the total affected land, 3,996 current acres are located at the Mill site which is not affected by
the proposed changes.
3.0 RECLAMATION PLAN FOR ADDITION OF AFFECTED LAND
For the purposes of this Amendment, the increase in affected lands does not alter the existing
reclamation plan for the Mine or Mill, and no new disturbance will take place. The acreage being
added under this Amendment will be reclaimed as follows:
• URAD Wastewater Treatment Plant and the water conveyance pipeline between the Mine
and the Treatment Plant will continue to be operated post-mine closure, thus reclamation
of the pipeline and Treatment Plant is not being considered with this Amendment.
• Any disturbance to the 50-foot east-west buffer area along the northern edge of the current
affected lands boundary would be reclaimed in the same fashion as immediately adjacent
lands.
• Subsidence associated with mining activity will remain. Adequate signage will be installed
to indicate hazards and prohibit the public from accessing the area.
4.0 WILDLIFE INFORMATION
The addition of affected lands under this Amendment does not alter other elements of the
previously submitted wildlife information.
Henderson recognizes the following as a Colorado State-listed endangered species which occur on
property, but outside of the current and proposed affected land boundary:
Species Location Est.
