(PLS) is providing the following response to the comments provided in the <br /> R St. Barbara Sand and Gravel Mine technical revision(TR-02) adequacy review. For ease of review, <br /> PLS is providing the formal comment followed by the PLS response in bold. <br /> 1. Please specify the size of the area that is proposed to be isolated by the slurry wall construction? <br /> In addition, provide a revised Mining Plan Map with a label specifying the acreage. <br /> t <br /> PLS Response: The overall area for the slurry wall cell is planned to be approximately 69 acres. <br /> Final design is currently in process. Please see the revised Mining Plan Map. <br /> 2. Please provide an approximate timetable to describe the mining operation as required by Rule <br /> 6.4.4(e). The timetable is for the purpose of establishing the relationship between the mining and <br /> reclamation during different phases of the mining operation. Such timetable should include: <br /> a. An estimate of the time periods of time which will be required for the various stages or phases <br /> of the operation; <br /> PLS Response: The area within the slurry wall cell is planned to be mined within 10 years <br /> following construction, with mining sub-blocks shown on the enclosed revised Mining Plan <br /> E Map. Please note there are 14 mining blocks shown,however the first four western blocks have <br /> currently been mined or previously disturbed. <br />
