<br />EXPLOSIVES – Rule 4.08 <br />Distance Prohibitions 4.08.4; Warnings 4.08.4; Control of Adverse Effects 4.08.4: <br />Blast patterns were observed above the Collom Pit within the overburden. <br /> <br />HYDROLOGIC BALANCE - Rule 4.05 <br />Drainage Control 4.05.1, 4.05.2, 4.05.3; Siltation Structures 4.05.5, 4.05.6; Discharge Structures 4.05.7, 4.05.10; <br />Diversions 4.05.4; Effluent Limits 4.05.2; Ground Water Monitoring 4.05.13; Surface Water Monitoring 4.05.13; <br />Drainage – Acid and Toxic Materials 4.05.8; Impoundments 4.05.6, 4.05.9; Stream Buffer Zones 4.05.18: <br />The Collom Ponds: Coal Stock Pile Pond, Section 25, Middle, Section 36, Section 26 and Sidehill Ponds were <br />inspected. All ponds held water but it is undeterminable on whether discharge was occurring. However, based <br />upon the water level, it appears that no discharge was occurring from the final ponds in the two series associated <br />with Collom (Section 25 and 26 Ponds). <br /> <br />The Collom Pile Collector Ditches were also inspected. The ditches included D-1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6. Each ditch <br />appeared stable with no issues observed. <br /> <br />The Streeter and Section 16 Ponds were inspected. Each pond held water. Embankments were stable and no issues <br />were observed. <br /> <br />Water was observed within the Finial East Pit Ditch and the associated stock tanks held water. <br /> <br />Section 36 and Middle Pond. Section 25 and Sidehill Ponds. <br /> <br />GENERAL MINE PLAN COMPLIANCE: <br />Coal is being mined from the Collom Pit by truck and shovel operations. The coal is being transported north east <br />of the pit and placed in the Coal Stockpile Area located in the Collom facility area. The pile was being shaped by <br />dozers at the time of the inspection. <br /> <br />Operations in the South Taylor Pit continues as normal.
