No mine representative was <br />present during the inspection. Weather conditions were clear with a high temperature around sixty five degrees <br />fahrenheit. Ground conditions appeared muddy and saturated with some minor snow cover. <br />BACKFILL and GRADING – Rule 4.14 <br />Contemporaneous Reclamation 4.14.1; Approximate Original Contour 4.14.2; Highwall Elimination 4.14.1(2)(f); <br />Steep Slopes 4.14.2, 4.27; Handling of Acid and Toxic Materials 4.14.3; Stabilization of Rills and Gullies 4.14.6: <br />Spoil is being backfilled and regraded within the South Taylor Pit during the inspection. Spoile is being moved by <br />dragline as well as dump truck operations before being graded and compacted. <br /> <br />EXCESS SPOIL and DEVELOPMENT WASTE – Rule 4.09 <br />Placement; Drainage Control; Surface Stabilization: <br />Excess spoil for the Collom Pit development is being placed north of the pit in the Collom Excess Spoil Pile. The <br />pile is being constructed in multiple lifts. Trucks are dumping the excess spoil over the edge of the upper lift <br />where dozers are shaping, grading and compacting along the lower lift. <br /> <br />The South Taylor excess spoil pile remains stable. <br /> <br />Collom Temporary Spoil Pile.
