The inspection was completed by Clayton Wein of <br />the Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety (the Division). Dan Mackinnon of t he OSMRE was <br />present for the inspection. Kurt Blunt of Blue Mountain Energy, inc accompanied the inspection. The weather <br />was partly cloudy for most of the day with a high temperature of 45 degrees F. The gound conditions were mostly <br />dry. <br />Maintenance It ems : <br />- The Division recommends clearing the cattails from around the trash rack/primary spillway of the <br />DP-1 Pond. (Photo 1) <br />- The east riprap ditch from the wash plant bench to the DP-1 Pond needs to be cleaned. (Photo 2) <br />- The Division recommends cleaning the ditch located on the north side of the wash plant bench. <br />(Photo 3) <br />- The Division recommends cleaning the inlet to the primary spillway of the PP -2 Pond. (Photo 4) <br />- Please place another topsoil marker on top of the southern portion of the facilities area tops oil pile. <br />- The Division recommends cleaning the middle of the southern half CMP ditch of the facilities area <br />topsoil pile. The second half of the ditch was being bypassed. (Photo 5) <br />- Please repair the rills coming off of the fill slope of the 13L Return Sha ft pad. (Photo 6) <br />- The Division recommends cleaning the entire ditch on the south side of the Rail Loadout. The <br />culvert inlet from the ditch to the RS -1 Sump has become blocked by sediment (Photo 7). The <br />remainder of the ditch leading to the RR-1 Pond had become filled with sediment. <br />- Please clean the inlet and outlet of the culvert leading into the SS -1 Pond. The culvert runs <br />underneath the access road next to the pond. (Photo 8) <br />- The Division recommends repairing the southwest inlet to the SS-2 Pond. The inlet had head-cut. <br />(Photo 9)
