During storage, the topsoil stockpile will be stabilized with the temporary
revegetation mixture as shown in Table 3.4-2.
The topsoil stockpile will be sprayed with round up as necessary to control
cheatgrass establishment.

Haul road #1 and the portal area are pre-SMCRA and therefore topsoil was
not salvaged, nor will topsoil be replaced, (a total of 7.8 acres). The area
where the existing topsoil pile is founded did not have topsoil salvaged, that
area is approximately 0.2 acres and topsoil will not be replaced.
'Greasewood flats' area refers to the area surrounding the topsoil stockpile
and in front of and including a portion of the construction stockpile. The
greasewood flats area adjoins the previously disturbed area boundary. The
founding of the coal mine waste pile is in the footprint of the existing
sediment pond, no new topsoil will be salvaged from that area.
Otherwise, topsoil will be redistributed in the thicknesses shown below;
