Graham Roberts, Trapper Mine representative was present throughout the
inspection. Skies were cloudy and temperatures ranged between 30 and 50 degrees Fahrenheit.
Ash and coal were being hauled and spoil being transported and dumped; roads were being
watered. Ponds were discharging due to snowmelt.

MAINTENANCE ITEMS IDENTIFIED:
None identified at the time of this inspection.
o Due to the snowy ground conditions it was not possible to observe maintenance items
identified in last fall’s inspection.
o Oak system requires some maintenance as the inlet had jumped the channel forming a
rivulet that requires grading.
o The first dozer basin at Oak requires dredging.

INSPECTION:
GENERAL MINE PLAN COMPLIANCE:

One drag line, the Molly Brown was
operating, while the Queen Ann and Baby
Doe were idle. Activities in the pit were
observed. Reclamation appeared to be
progressing as per the permit. Ash pit, ready
line and strip line were observed and no
issues were identified at the time of
inspection.

Photo 1: (125119): Checking the weather
station.
