If the material is hauled offsite, where will it be hauled to and what it the intended use? <br /> Any extracted material will be taken to our homes and as stated above, added to our <br /> displayed collection of Colorado minerals and used to determine next steps. <br /> 8. What is the approximate areal extent of the proposed extraction in acres? <br /> We have staked out an area that is 25'by 25'for prospecting. I will refer to this area as <br /> the "Target Prospecting Area". Hopefully these stakes have been undisturbed. <br /> 9. To what approximate depth will the extraction extend? <br /> This is unknown at this time. <br /> We would need to dig test holes in several locations within the Target Prospecting Area <br /> to determine the approximate average depth of the soil down to bedrock. These holes <br /> would obviously need to be filled with the dirt that came out of the hole. <br /> Our intent is to dig holes up to +/- 5' in depth holes, or until we hit bedrock which ever <br /> happens first. If we hit bedrock before reaching 5', we will stop digging in that area. <br /> THERE WILL BE NO HARD-ROCK MINING. All holes dug will typically be filled the <br /> same day or within a few days with the dirt that was removed. <br /> For clarification purposes, the activity needed to determine the depth of the soil, is the <br /> exact same activity that we intend to complete with the exception that the soil removed <br /> from a hole will be sifted and then replaced. <br /> 10. In cubic yards, approximately how much material will be removed? <br /> If we assume an average depth of the soil to be 4 , then we mathematically arrive at an <br /> estimated 2,500 cubic foot of soil for the total 25'by 25' Target Prospecting Area. In <br /> reality, there will be series of holes dug over time. When we are done with a hole, it will <br /> be filled before we start on the next hole. <br /> 11. Will material extraction involve the use of explosives? <br /> No explosives. <br /> 12. Will site of extraction result in the exposure of tributary ground water? <br /> No. <br /> 13. Will either the landowner or the mine site operator receive any type of compensation, i.e., <br /> monetary, in-kind, haulage fees, etc., from the proposed material extraction? <br /> No. <br /> Page 3 of 12 <br />
