Mr. Basil Bear of Bowie Resources, Inc.
accompanied the inspection. The mine is an inactive underground mine that is currently in temporary cesation.
No mining activy is occurring. Activity on the site is limited to monitoring and maintenance, and continuing to
compact areas of Gob pile No. 3. The weather had been raining the early moring of the inspection with a spring
snowstorm predicted for the area the day of the inspection. Weather during the inspaction was amix of rain, snow,
and glimpses of sunshine. Snow has melted of most of the lower elevations of the permit.
HYDROLOGIC BALANCE - Rule 4.05
Drainage Control 4.05.1, 4.05.2, 4.05.3; Siltation Structures 4.05.5, 4.05.6; Discharge Structures 4.05.7, 4.05.10;
Diversions 4.05.4; Effluent Limits 4.05.2; Ground Water Monitoring 4.05.13; Surface Water Monitoring 4.05.13;
Drainage – Acid and Toxic Materials 4.05.8; Impoundments 4.05.6, 4.05.9; Stream Buffer Zones 4.05.18:
Ponds were accessed through out the site.

Pond B was holding a shallow pool of water mostly towards the east end. There were numerous elk or deer tracks
in the bottom of the pond.

Pond C was holding water, but water elevation was well below discharge (pumping) elevation. A small sediment
fan was visible at the north inlet of the pond but not in any amount to require clean out. It did not appear that
tamarisk cut and sprayed last year had re-sprouted.

Pond D had a shallow pool in the bottom of the pond. No concerns were noted with this pond.

Pond F continues to hold water, though the water elevation has gone down several feet since the March
observation. This pond has not discharged or been pumped. Basil said BRL anticipates that they will clean this
pond as conditions dry out.

Pond J was holding a cloudy pool of water that had come down in elevation several feet since the March
