wall to a dump hopper. The lime or cement material will then be discharged into the bed of the
haul truck, on top of the ore, for placement on the VLFs. A dust skirt will extend from the dump
hopper to the loading point.
Retaining Wall: The proposed wall will be constructed with compacted structural fill supported
by geogrid material behind a concrete block face.
Power Poles: Two new power poles measuring 45 and 90 feet tall will be added to bring power to
the new silo location. Figure 4 details the existing and proposed power pole locations.
Schedule:
Pending DRMS approval, construction of the retaining wall and silo base are scheduled to commence in
May of 2019, followed by relocation of the silo to the proposed location. Weather permitting, the
installation and commissioning of the silo and associated retaining wall are expected to be complete by
July of 2019.
Financial Warranty:
CC&V utilized the Standard Reclamation Cost Estimator (SRCE) to calculate a reclamation cost for
demolition of the concrete pad, retaining wall, and silo. The bond cost estimated by SRCE for this work
and other associated reclamation is $10,350. To calculate the warranty increase in reclamation cost for the
two power poles, CC&V utilized the RS Means estimate for "selective demolition, utility poles & cross
arms, wood" for a cost of$507. This brings the grand total of new required financial warranty to $10,350;
which CC&V will account for out of the surplus financial warranty. Pending DRMS approval, this will
bring the new required financial warranty to $208,202,308.00 thus leaving a surplus of 288,880.00.
Enclosed please find check no. 2000040679, in the amount of$1,006.00, for the technical revision fee.
Should you require further information please do not hesitate to contact Katie Blake at 719.689.4048, or
me at 719.689.4042 or Justin.Ra 71 in(anewmont.com.
Sincerely,
Justin Raglin
Senior Environmental Manager
Cripple Creek&Victor Gold Mining Co
JR/kb
Ec: T.
