surrounding this site consists of bunch grasses, yucca and scattered ponderosa pine. The soil
is thin (2-3 inches) and is primarily decomposed Pikes Peak granite.
6.3.2 (b)
There are no man made structures within 200 feet of the affected area named in this
application. However, USFS Road 754 and USES Road 754A are with 200 feet of the permit
boundary. In addition, there is a private property fence line located less than 200 feet (to the
South) of the proposed access routes.
6.3.2 (c)
There is one small stream on the fringes of the south edge of the New Hawk claim. This stream
is greater than 400 feet from the proposed dig sites. Mining operations will not use any water
from the stream and the stream would not be affected by mining operations in any way.
6.3.2 (d)
As this is a 110 (1) Limited Impact Permit, no wildlife statement is required for this permit
application. At each trench a gradual slope will be in place leading out. This will allow any
wildlife that happens to fall in the trenches to escape with ease.
