Mr. Basil Bear accopanied the inspection
and represented Bowie Resources, LLC. The mine is in temporary cessation. No mining activities are currently
taking place. Activities on site are primarily maintenance and monitoring. Areas not requiring access have not
been plowed. The operator has found that leaving unneeded roadways snowcovered reduces sediment load in the
ditches and ponds as the snow melts off. The Division is in agreement with this approach to snow management.
AIR RESOURCE PROTECTION – Rule 4.17:
BRL has submitted Emissions Permit renewal applications to CDPHE.

AVAILABILITY OF RECORDS – Rule 5.02.4(1):
Records are stored in the Bowie No. 2 office. Records were verified, and the Availability of Records form
is included in this report.

FISH and WILDLIFE – Rule 4.18:
Two mule deer were observed at the cover fill borrow area at Gob pile No. 2. Sandhill crane tracks were
noted at Pond D, though no cranes were observed on site.

HYDROLOGIC BALANCE - Rule 4.05
Drainage Control 4.05.1, 4.05.2, 4.05.3; Siltation Structures 4.05.5, 4.05.6; Discharge Structures 4.05.7, 4.05.10;
Diversions 4.05.4; Impoundments 4.05.6, 4.05.9; Stream Buffer Zones 4.05.18:
Ponds were inspected. None of the ponds were discharging, or even near discharge elevation.

All pond except pond K were holding cloudy pools of water, runoff from snowmelt and recent rains. Pond F west
inlet shows some down cutting and may require maintenance when the roads dry up to allow access.

Ditches that were accessible appeared in fair condition. BRL will continue to conduct maintenance of ditches as
the ground conditions dry up. Currently the ditches are functioning as designed.
