Colowyo Coal Company <br />2018 Annual Reclamation and Hydrology Report <br />SECTION 8 —WEED MANAGEMENT <br />RULE REQUIREMENT <br />Rule 2.04.13(2) the Permittee may provide additional monitoring information as required <br />by the approved permit. <br />GENERAL DISCUSSION <br />Colowyo's policy is to visually inspect the entire land surface within the permit boundary <br />annually, and attempt to spray every weed encountered during chemical weed control <br />activities. Colowyo utilizes a combination of pickup mounted and UTV mounted <br />boom/hand wand applicators to facilitate chemical control of noxious weeds. <br />Specifically targeted weed species include but are not limited to; thistles, Houndstongue <br />Mullein, knapweeds, whitetop, leafy spurge, etc. The following non -Phase III released <br />reclamation parcels were included in the 2018 surveillance and treatment program at <br />Colowyo: <br />East Pit — Units EP051-EP060 <br />West Pit — Units WPO 10; WPO 14-WPO25 <br />South Taylor Pit — Units ST001-ST005 <br />Gossard Loadout/Facilities Area — Units GFO1-GF04 <br />Collom — Units CO 1-005 <br />Please see Exhibits 2A through 2C for the reclamation units noted above. <br />Page 34 <br />
