Jordan McCourt of GCC Energy was present for the entire inspection. The
weather conditions were clear and cold. The ground was snow covered and frozen. The temperature was
approximately 20F.
HYDROLOGIC BALANCE - Rule 4.05
Drainage Control 4.05.1, 4.05.2, 4.05.3; Siltation Structures 4.05.5, 4.05.6; Discharge Structures 4.05.7, 4.05.10;
Diversions 4.05.4; Effluent Limits 4.05.2; Ground Water Monitoring 4.05.13; Surface Water Monitoring 4.05.13;
Drainage – Acid and Toxic Materials 4.05.8; Impoundments 4.05.6, 4.05.9; Stream Buffer Zones 4.05.18:
King I-
The West Pond was snow covered but did not appear to contain water.
The East Pond was snow covered and contained a small amount of water that was well below the discharge
structure.
The inlet to Reach 2 was free of obstructions (photo 1). Reach 5 was free of obstructions.
A pile of gravel was placed at the top of the Reach 13 ditch to reinforce the berm separating the clean water
diversion from the treated runoff area (photo 2).
The sediment basins along the haul road have filled up with ice and snow due to weather conditions. Some runoff
was running into the basins but it was unclear where the water was going due to the snow pack around the
sediment basin. These basins will have to be monitored as the snow melts to ensure that they are properly
maintained.

King II-
West clear water ditch, CWD-1A, was free of obstructions.
The water inlet drop structure by the crushing screen structure needs have the ice removed (photo 3).
The frozen debris in the water inlet by the air jig needs to be removed (photo 4).
The pond contained a small amount of water but was not discharging.
The inlet to culvert C5 has some sediment in it and needs to be cleaned when the ground thaws.
