under roadway, (3) Culverts under proposed excavations and other activities on the
driveways onto River Run Drive. Schmidt Site, and at elevations below the deepest
excavation on the Site. Only runoff from the actual
access road for the Schmidt Site might discharge into
the ditches along the road, and, per County
requirements, the Schmidts are obligated to maintain
the culvert for that driveway and the associated
stretch of roadside ditch. This discharge would be
minimal and unlikely to damage the road or other
culverts and ditches. The roadside ditches and culverts
are assumed to be designed as for all of the parcels
along the uphill side of River Run Drive to handle
historical flows from the properties, and the Schmidt
Site activities and reclamation actually reduces flow
from the site by creating retention and detention
basins.
La Plata County Electric Association (LPEA): This is addressed in the notarized letter from LPEA.
Power line and pole located in easement
across the Schmidt Site, including access to
that pole and easement.
It is my professional opinion that none of the structures identified above will be damaged by any
activities occurring at the mining operation.
Ae
1sF; !Nathan A.
