Water Information <br />6.4.7 <br />EXHIBIT "G" <br />(1) The Applicant does not expect to directly affect groundwater systems. Neither the <br />property owner nor the Operator are aware of free groundwater located within the <br />depths to be mined. However, if groundwater is encountered, the Operator will notify <br />DRMS and backfill any exposed groundwater with at least 2 feet of soil. <br />(2) The operation might affect surface water during high precipitation. <br />(a) Please refer to Exhibit "C" Mining Map and Exhibit "F" Reclamation Map for <br />information on location and detail of earthen berms and surface water drainage. A <br />no mining buffer of 100 feet on each side of Dog Springs Arroyo will be maintained. <br />FEMA FIRM Panel 080206 Sheet 49 shows this area to be within "Zone A". <br />(c) Where surface water can be affected, a series of earthen berm will direct the <br />drainage. The earthen berms will be covered with Western Wheatgrass ( 9#/PSL) <br />for erosion control. Refer to Mining map in Exhibit "C" and Reclamation Map in <br />Exhibit "F" for more information. A Stormwater Management Plan will be <br />implemented for this operation and a Stormwater Permit will be obtained. <br />(3) No project water is required. This is a dry pit operation and no washing is to take <br />place. <br />(4) This is a dry pit no water is required, except for the water used for dust control by <br />truck/tanker. <br />(5) The applicant will apply for stormwater permit from the State of Colorado Water <br />Quality Control Division, Dept of Health. <br />
