Jordan McCourt of GCC Energy was present for the entire inspection. The
weather conditions were sunny and cold. The ground had about 8 inches of snow. The temperature was
approximately 25F.
AVAILABILITY OF RECORDS – Rule 5.02.4(1):
All required records were on file and available for review at the mine office. No problems were noted
with the records review. Please see the availability of records checklist at the end of this report.

HYDROLOGIC BALANCE - Rule 4.05
Drainage Control 4.05.1, 4.05.2, 4.05.3; Siltation Structures 4.05.5, 4.05.6; Discharge Structures 4.05.7, 4.05.10;
Diversions 4.05.4; Effluent Limits 4.05.2; Ground Water Monitoring 4.05.13; Surface Water Monitoring 4.05.13;
Drainage – Acid and Toxic Materials 4.05.8; Impoundments 4.05.6, 4.05.9; Stream Buffer Zones 4.05.18:
King I- The east and west ponds were snow covered (photo 1). The snow level of each pond was well
below the discharge pipe so neither pond was discharging.

King II-
Snow melt has been occurring during the day and then the water re-freezes at night. This freeze-thaw cycle is
causing ice to build-up around and in some culverts. These culverts were not obstructed but will need to be
monitored to ensure they can convey water runoff to the sediment pond.
The ditch along the road to the fan, ID-3, has been damaged due to snowplowing (photo 2). The ditch and check
dams need to be repaired.
The water in the sediment pond was frozen and it had a layer of snow. The snow was several feet below the
discharge pipe (photo 3). The pond was not discharging and the outlet pipes were free of obstructions.
The water inlet structures by the crusher/screen and the scale were free of obstructions.
