LEGEND: <br /> RTopsoil <br /> Tailings: Cobble-to sand-sized clasts of shale and igneous rock, with clay. Boulder sized clasts were <br /> present locally. They were slightly moist to locally wet, low to moderately plastic, dense, to very dense, <br /> and gray-brown to dark gray-brown in color, with local iron oxide staining. In some cases these materials <br /> have been displaced since they were placed as fill, and not in others. <br /> Colluvium: Sandy clays with gravel. They were moist to very moist, moderately to highly plastic, stiff to <br /> very stiff, and red-brown to brown to gray-brown in color. Iron oxide staining and caliche were noted <br /> locally. <br /> ® Weathered Clay Shale: Severely weathered, clean to sandy clay shales. They were moist, moderately <br /> to highly plastic, moderately hard, and gray-brown in color. Iron oxide staining was noted commonly. <br /> ® Clay Shale Bedrock: Clean to sandy clay shales. They were moist, moderately to highly plastic, hard to <br /> very hard, and gray-brown to gray to dark gray in color. Iron oxide staining was noted commonly. <br /> Drive sample, 2-inch I.D.
