6.3.4. (1) (c) (i) The original plant growth medium/soils from each site will be replaced to their original depth from the stockpiles on each site. As the soils in this area are quite thin and contain a large percentage of weathered bedrock, the appearance of the surface soils over the reclaimed excavations may appear scant, but the materials will be replaced in their entirety. 6.3.4. (1) (c) Oil In the recontoured areas, soil will be prepared for seed by light furrowing after final contouring is completed. Final contouring will be done immediately before seeding to ensure a good, aerated seed bed. If the soil has become compacted, it will be re-raked to properly prepare the soil. Reseeding will be conducted in late autumn each season to take advantage of winter moisture and to ensure good spring growth in accordance with Forest Service recommendations. If any reclamation is carried over to the spring of the following mining season due to early snows or unforeseen events, seeding will take place as early as possible in the same manner as described above. The use of fertilizer is not anticipated. 6.3.4.
