Mr. Basil Bear accompanied the inspection
and represented Bowie Resources, LLC. The mine is not currently active. All mining has temporarily halted. The
fans are off and the shafts have been sealed. The portals have been temporarily closed off, but not permanently
sealed. The operator retains a three man crew for maintenance, monitoring and other related activities.

The weather was cool, dry and partly cloudy. The valley had received precipitation several days previous, so there
were some wet areas.
FISH and WILDLIFE – Rule 4.18:
A doe and buck mule deer were observed near Pond D.

HYDROLOGIC BALANCE - Rule 4.05
Drainage Control 4.05.1, 4.05.2, 4.05.3; Impoundments 4.05.6, 4.05.9:
Ponds throughout the site held shallow pools of water. None of the ponds were near discharge elevation,
nor had any discharged recently. The operator had cleaned up and disposed of the tamarisk cuttings, and cut and
treated the remaining tamarisk at Pond C. No problems were noted with any of the ponds.

The operator has kept up on maintaining the ditches throughout the site. Run off from recent precipitation events
was well handled be the ditches and drainages, with no signs of breaches or other short circuiting of the sediment
control system. The operator cleaned the outlet of the culvert near Pond D.

Bowie Resources have added some brush packing to Ditch D-F-19. Time will determine the effectiveness of the
brush packing.

GENERAL MINE PLAN COMPLIANCE:
The site is inactive, however, the operator continues to maintain the site in good condition. The power to
the upper warehouse, facilities and offices has been shut down. The mine office is now the former coal sales
