If any ground water is exposed, we will cover the area of <br /> ground water exposure with at least 2 feet of cover. <br /> 2. No storm water will be retained on site. <br /> 3. Any water needed for site operations will be obtained from a legal source. <br /> Responses to the Office of Archaeology and Historic Preservation: <br /> As requested, if human remains are discovered during mining activities, we will comply with <br /> the requirements of State law CRS 24-80, part 13. <br /> We have also enclosed new maps, Pre-Mine and Reclamation Plan Maps. They have been <br /> signed as requested. <br /> Following are our responses to the Division's adequacy questions: <br /> Rule 6.4.3 Exhibit C-Pre-Mining and Mining Plan Map: <br /> Question 1. In accordance with Rule 6.2.1(2)(b)please submit a copy of this map signed by <br /> a registered land surveyor,professional engineer or other qualified person who prepared it. <br /> Response: <br /> Enclosed are the signed Pre-Mine/Mine Plan Maps. A replacement map along with the other <br /> listed changes have been sent to the Elbert County Clerk and Recorder's Office. <br /> Rule 6.4.5-Exhibit E—Reclamation Plan: <br /> Question 2: The reclamation plan narrative on page 27 indicates the applicant proposes to <br /> replace 6 inches of topsoil over areas ready for reclamation. However,page 33 under section <br /> 3.1.9(3) indicates the applicant may remove 12 inches of topsoil from a specific soils unit area <br /> (TkC) and that the estimated reclamation need is 12,900 cubic yard of topsoil. ... The Division <br /> would say there is about 12 to 20 inches of viable topsoil to be salvaged and used for <br /> reclamation...Please clarify and revise the soil salvage depth and replacement depth <br /> accordingly. <br /> Response: <br /> Based on our phone conversation of 10/29/2018, we commit to removing sufficient topsoil to <br /> replace 8-10 inches with an average depth of 9 inches. The appropriate pages within the <br /> application have been revised and are included in this package as replacement pages to the <br /> Application. We have also placed this information into the new Attachment VI. <br /> 3 <br />
