If sustained combustion of debris or non -coal waste becomes a
problem the applicant will be prepared to react appropriately. Chemical
fire extinguishers will be available on mobile equipment. A water truck
will be available to respond to any problem area. Earth moving
equipment may be available to smother a fire if necessary.
g. Sealing mine openings and boreholes.
The monitoring holes will be sealed in accordance with the
requirements of Rule 4.07. For specific information concerning the
sealing of holes, refer to Volume I - Text, Section 2.05.4(2)(g).
h. Measures used to protect air and water quality.
The Operator has cancelled the air permits associated with the
operation of the train loadout since all facilities have been demolished.
The Operator holds current, relevant Discharge Permits issued by the
Colorado Department of Health and Environment for discharges
occurring from the sediment ponds. See Exhibit 11.
