§2.04 APPLICATION FOR PERMIT FOR SURFACE OR UNDERGROUND MINING <br />ACTIVITIES --MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR INFORMATION ON <br />ENVIRONMENTAL RESOURCES. <br />conservation measures that the USFWS believe are necessary to <br />offset this impact. See Exhibit 2 which documents the Operator. <br />entered into a Section 7 consultation with the USFWS. <br />In the event that contamination, diminution, or interruption in <br />underground or surface water supplies result from coal mining <br />operations, the following protective measures would be followed. <br />1) Adequate protection of water rights will be monitored. The <br />operator has designed and implemented a complete hydrologic <br />monitoring program. <br />2) Adequate protection of water rights is ensured by regular <br />monitoring. <br />3) The operator controls alternative sources of water that can <br />be proposed for augmentation plans, as needed. <br />Alternative sources of water that could be developed through existing <br />sources include, 1) East Beckwith Reservoir #1, 2) Terror Ditch and, 3) <br />West Reservoir. The operator controls additional alternative sources <br />as listed in Volume I -Text, Section 2.04.7(3). <br /> <br />TR-20 <br />2.04 - 15 <br />3/01 <br />
