The operator is planning to use glysophate (round-up). This should be effective as long as the <br />perennial species in the area are dormant. The operator will verify the label for proper application. <br /> <br />SUPPORT FACILITIES - Rule 4.04: <br /> Due to the reduced staff, the operator has decided to shut down the upper warehouse and office at the <br />upper portal area. Staff was moving records and supplies down to the coal sales office. This will be the new <br />location of the office. Power and telecommunications will be shut down to the upper office by the end of the <br />week, and reestablished at the coal sales building by Monday 10/22. <br /> <br />Portal benches are well maintained, and mostly tidy. Excess metal is being removed for scrap. Two ventilation <br />tubes have rolled down slope south of B-portal bench.
