Possible candidate for release.
Note: *** Water Levels Fluctuate within the Basins. The Upper Water Level (Blue) at
Elevation 4810 Basin 2 and Elevation 4812 Basin 4 - defines the lower extent of well-
established vegetation from the inner perimeter of the access road. Water has
fluctuated from the Blue line to the RED lines - both at Elevation 4805. Where
inundation occurs for extended periods - vegetation may die back killing grasses and
inviting annuals. Control of Annuals - especially those deemed Noxious - are an
essential and ongoing effort at the location.
[1] Locations requiring seeding or inter-seeding will require up to an additional three
(3) to five (5) years for the native species to express themselves and begin to spread.
For this reason - the time for reclamation should be extended an additional five (5)
years to assure the completion of revegetated basins. With weed control and good
fortune, release could occur as early as one (1) to two (2) years from treatment given
favorable conditions.
There remains a resident need to clarify the continuation of some activities commenced
under the OMLR permit. Based upon what we know today:
1. Basins and Reservoirs 2 and 4 are completed and suitable for release.
Varra Companies, Inc.
