The ten piezometers located on the tailing impoundment main embankment were inspected and measured
for depth to water. The depths to water found for each piezometer are shown in Table 2. All piezometers
were either dry or contained less than twelve inches of water.

The leak detection system at the TSF Collection Pond was inspected September 27, 2018. A total of 830
gallons (29.6 GPD) were evacuated from the leak detection system and pumped to the LTF. The LTF
underdrain system flow was measured to be approximately 34.0 gallons per minute(gpm). ,
West Pit Waste Water Treatment Plant
During the month of September 2018, the West Pit Water Treatment Plant was operated under Colorado
Department of Public Health and Environment(CDPHE)CDPS Permit No. C00045675 for discharge into
the Rito Seco alluvial aquifer. During the month of September, 6,246,500 gallons (19.17 acre-feet) of
treated water was discharged to the Rito Seco. There was 82,900 gallons (0.25 acre-feet) of water
transferred from the West Pit to the LTF in September 2018. There was no sludge transferred from the
water treatment plant drying pad to the LTF.
BMRl performed the monthly visual seepage expression inspections on September 28, 2018 in the historic
seepage area identified in Figure 2 of the permit. No seepage expressions were observed in the historic
seepage area during September 2018.
BMRl measured the monthly West Pit backfill, alluvial and monitoring wells as required under in the
QA/QC Plan. Measurements obtained for the monthly wells are shown in Table 3.
