Moffat Mining Response: Copies of Map 27A accompany these responses for insertion in the
PAP. In reviewing our copy of the PAP, the reference on page 2.05-14.1 (dated 09.08/14) is
to Map 27, not 27A. Is there a more recent revision to this page??
10 October DRMS
Item is adequately addressed with submission of map 27A.
To answer MMI's question regarding a recent revision to the Maps in question, Map 27 in DRMS's
electronic document storage system dates to RN3 approved in October of 2000. The map revision is
dated 1999. DRMS has no record of Map 27A, other than the one submitted by Moffat Mining Inc. in
August 2018.
Rule 4.05.17 - Postmining and Rehabilitation of Sediment Ponds, Diversions. Impoundments, and
Treatment Facilities
Pond 9A -P1 is the only permanent impoundment currently identified in the permit. The performance standards
discussed under this rule will apply before the permit area is abandoned. Does MCM intend to retain any other
structures/features as permanent?
18. If so, please provide a revision to the reclamation plan and obtain approval from the Division.
10 October DRMS
This item was adequately addressed with MCM planning to submit a pennit revision to the
Division should MCM determine that additional facilities would be appropriate and beneficial for
designation as permanent.
Rule 4.13 - Contemporaneous Reclamation
19. The mine is currently under Temporary Cessation. Rule 4.13 is a performance standard. Should
the operation now be considered in permanent cessation?
Response: On November 9, 2016, MCM notified the CORMS of plans to initiate active reclamation of the
Williams Fork Mines, resulting in a change in status from Temporary Cessation to Active Reclamation.
Reclamation activities are currently ongoing, with the objective of completing site reclamation within the next
two years.
10 October DRMS
Adequately addressed
Williams Fork Permit Renewal RN7 ADQ 2 Prepared by: R. Reilley, M.S. GISP
Date: October 2018
