h) No water will be used in conjunction with the operation. There could be instances
when heavy rainfall makes the site too muddy to continue. At those times, mining
will simply cease until the site becomes dry enough to mine again. Mining will not
go into the groundwater at the site.
i) The material to be mined will be used primarily for concrete production. A
secondary use may be road fill or landscaping.
i) Our plans are to mine to a depth of 10' inside the creek bed and up to 20' depth in
the area outside the creek. No slopes will be left greater than 3:1 outside the creek
area. Bank slopes may be left at 2:1.
ii) Based on mining which has occurred in the existing pit area, the material at the
bottom of the pit, primarily a clay material, would be expected to remain consistent
throughout the life of the pit.
j) No mining will take place inside the 200' set back along the west side of the 112 pit.
A twenty-five foot buffer will be left for an unimproved track for inspection and
maintenance. The 200' remaining will provide the cushion to adjacent landowners
and the public roadway. The north and east sides will have a setback of 130' as
agreed to in the original Hansel Pit#1 by the Phillips County Commissioners.
k) No explosives will be used in this mining enterprise.
