10 September 2018 C-1994082 Yoast Mine RAR <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />3 <br />Number of Partial Inspections this Fiscal Year: 2 <br />Number of Complete Inspections this Fiscal Year: 1 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />exceptions, to be visible and in good repair. <br /> <br />ROADS Rule 4.03 <br />Construction 4.03.1(3), 4.03.2(3); Drainage 4.03.1(4), 4.03.2(4); Surfacing and Maintenance <br />4.03.1(5) and (6) 4.03.2(5) and (6). <br />o Roads in and around the facilities appeared in good condition and functioning adequately. <br />o No fugitive dust was noted. <br />o No rutted areas or standing water were noted. <br /> <br />HYDROLOGIC BALANCE- Rule 4.05 <br />General Requirements 4.05.1; Effluent Standards 4.05.2; Divergence and Conveyance of Overland <br />Flow 4.05.3; Diversions 4.05.4; Sediment Control Measures 4.05.5, 4.05.6; Discharge Structures <br />4.05.7; Impoundments 4.05.9; Ground Water Monitoring 4.05.13; Underground Mine Entry 4.05.10; <br />Surface and Ground Water Monitoring 4.05.13;Stream Buffer Zones 4.05.18: <br />The ponds visited comprised Pond 11A, 12, and 13, stock tank 1. The following drainages were walked <br />or observed: YPM4, YPM4-2, YPM5-1, YPM5-1A, YPM6-3, YPM9, YPM10, YPM11 <br /> <br />Unless otherwise noted pond banks and drainage ways appeared stable and well vegetated at the time of <br />inspection. <br />o Pond11A held water and was not discharging. <br />o Pond 12 was discharging clear water at approximately 6 gallon per minute. <br />o Pond 13 was not discharging. Reconstructed drainages appeared armored and stable, <br />unless otherwise noted. <br />o Drainages appeared well armored and stable with surrounding vegetation. No issues were <br />noted at the time of inspection. <br /> <br />SLIDES and OTHER DAMAGE- Rule 4.12 <br />o No recent soil movement or new areas of instability were noted at the time of inspection. <br />o Existing slides were noted as stable at time of inspection with no recent movement <br />observed. <br /> <br />TOPSOIL -Rule 4.06 <br />Removal 4.06.2; Substitute Materials 4.06.4(4); Storage and Protection 4.06.3; <br />Redistribution 4.06.4: <br />o Slopes appeared stable and well vegetated on observed topsoil piles . <br />o Reclamation appeared stable and vegetation appeared well established and <br />vigorous. <br /> <br />
