3. Revegetation Plan
For each area of reclamation, soil will be disked to loosen the surface. Due to the mild grade,
seed can be drilled in all areas; in any areas that drill seeding is impractical, such as topsoil
windrow seeding, hydroseeding or broadcast seeding will be conducted. The seed mix listed
below will be used to revegetate the site. It will also be used for all temporary seeding applied to
stockpiles and/or windrows of topsoil and overburden. All stockpiles will be seeded within 15
days of construction, if they are intended to be in place>180 days. Certified weed free mulch
will be crimped into the surface at 4000 lbs. per acre. If hydromulching is conducted, it will be
done at 2000 lbs per acre. Fertilizer may be added as determined by a soil test at the time of
seeding. Any soil test results will be provided to the Division as part of the Annual Report.
Heavy furrows will be left in tilled topsoil to provide moisture concentration and shade areas to
promote better conditions for successful vegetation establishment. Seeding will take place during
the fall following retopsoiling of slopes. Slopes will be regraded, backfilled, and retopsoiled as
soon as they are able to be reclaimed.
DMRr,n;;L•w::A:n,i lswri.uc.,I'I 1
September 2018 E-3
