Subcontract#: 061804-017
Page 8/Rev 171204
Sema will construct a 6' level, compacted track line for Contractor paving operations at no additional
charge, to the extent that there are no interfering obstructions and available offset space exists.
Clearing and Grub includes all clearing required for the project, except items broken out separately.
Topsoil used to construct temporary erosion control berms will be paid as Temporary Berm and the
neat line volume of 0.13 CY/LF of temporary berm will be deducted from the Stockpile Topsoil item.
All flared end sections include required cut-off/toe walls.
Rip Rap items include geotextile fabric if required.
Detour items include only the work additional to what is required for the permanent features on the
project.
Excludes any subsidiary costs for stockpile location land rental, pad preparation, erosion control
BMPs, unloading/stacking of materials, stockpile maintenance/protection, and reclamation.
All CDOT supplied aggregate materials supplied at no cost based on sufficient quantities to construct
the contracted work scopes with allowances for ground/handling loss, compaction shrinkage, allowed
tolerances and reasonable overbuilds.
Assumes CDOT stockpile placement within %mile of the 1-25 corridor at 3 stockpile locations
equidistantly distributed along the project alignment.
CDOT is the producer of the material and warrants that all material supplied meets project
specifications at point of fill placement within the project—SEMA will not be responsible for stockpile
contamination, mechanical breakdown caused by repeated handling events, and weathering of
materials. CDOT will provide 200,000 CY of Aggregate Base Course(CI6) material, which based on
the standard CDOT unit weight conversion factor 133 PCF will yield—359,000 tons of material. This
minimum supplied tonnage of aggregate material will be calculated and mutually agreed by surveyed
stockpiled volumes and average in-place density measurements. The CDOT unit weight conversion
factor used to calculate minimum stockpile tonnage may be adjusted up or down based on mutually
agreed actual maximum proctor density of the source material. In addition to the 200,000
CY/359,000ton stockpile, an additional 40,000 CY(20%) of aggregate material will be stockpiled to
provide supplemental material to cover anticipated stockpile losses and construction overbuilds. Any
overruntwaste in excess of this total agreed amount will be the responsibility of SEMA. Supplemental
procedures to determine stockpile quantities in relation to delivery and construction logistics will be
mutually determined and agreed by both parties.
DBE participation: Quoted work scope includes a minimum $450,000 in DBE participation from Tom
Calabrese Trucking based on bid form scope and quantities with no added cost. Additional DBE
participation may be available with an additional cost premium of 11% if mutually agreeable.
If SEMA Precast is awarded the supply of precast soundwall materials and precast MSE Panel/SN
Panel Facing SEMA Construction agrees to provide additional DBE participation (additional to the
$450k) to fulfill a 100% DBE dollar value of the SEMA Precast final PO amount. Example, if the final
PO dollar amount to SEMA Precast is $978,893, and DBE dollars specific to SEMA Precast total
$215,000, SEMA Construction agrees to contribute an additional DBE amount of$763,893. (i.e.
SEMA Precast Contract minus SEMA Precast DBE Commitment equals additional SEMA
Construction DBE Commitment.) Final DBE contribution will be based on final wall quantities. To fulfill
Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer
