Known Cultural Resources - In the project area: None; GLO maps were also searched
for the aroiect area with negative results.
In the general region (summarize): Prehistoric and historic sites have been
recorded within the nearby sections. However, all are over a Y2 mile from any of the
proposed core sites. Exceptions include 8 -10 isolated finds of artifacts less than a half
mile to the west of WC008
26. Expected Results: Based on the existence of previously recorded sites within a mile,
proximity of water, and past historic usage of the general area, there was some
expectation for the discovery of cultural material. However, because of the small size
of the survey areas this expectation was not considered very high.
VI. STATEMENT OF OBJECTIVES
27. Identify, record, and assess any cultural resources located within the potential area of
effect.
