Limited - Results Archaeological Survey Form (Page 2 of 7) <br />II. DESCRIPTION OF UNDERTAKING / PROJECT <br />10. Type of Undertaking: Subsurface mining exploration <br />11. Size of Undertaking (acres): 6.7 acre Size of Project (if different) 19.73 acres <br />12. Nature of the Anticipated Disturbance: A monitoring well location (WC008) and a core <br />hole location (WCO28) will have vegetation cleared and ground surface leveled from an area <br />measuring about 50ft x 50ft in size. After this prep work is completed a truck mounted <br />coring machine will core below the surface in exploration of buried coal deposits. <br />13. Comments: Access to monitoring well WC008 will be via existing County Road 33 <br />and a short newly surveyed road corridor across disturbed area. Access to core hole <br />WCO28 is via a mile long very faint cross - country two -track road that will be upgraded <br />for the project. This road was surveyed in its entirety. The two -track connects to <br />existing maintained roads. <br />III. PROJECT LOCATION <br />Please attach a photocopy of USGS Quad. clearly showing the project location. The Quad. <br />should be clearly labeled with the Prime Meridian, Township, Range, Section(s), Quad. map <br />name, size, and date. Please do not reduce or enlarge the photocopy. <br />14. Description: The project area is located approximately seven miles southeast of <br />Hayden, CO. Take Hwy 40 east from Hayden six miles to Routt County Road 27. WCO28 <br />is located about five miles east of CR27 on private ranch roads. WC008 is located about 12 <br />miles east of WCO28 off of County Road 33 near Foidel Creek, about 2 miles northeast of <br />the road's junction with CR27. <br />15. Legal Location: Quad. Comments: A 300 x 300 ft square block was surveyed around each location's center <br />stake: access roads were surveyed with a 100 ft wide corridor (50 ft on each side of the <br />center line). <br />
