Permit Revision PR -09, Response to Adequacy Review No. 1
Dear Ms. Reilley:
Enclosed are two copies of our response to your Adequacy Review #I letter of May 18, 2018 to Trapper's
Permit Revision PR -09 application. We have used your original letter as the base format, with our
responses following each of your comments.
The following revised permit narrative pages are enclosed: i-5, 2-520yy to 2-520zz (place holder page), 3-
15a, 3-27a, 3-40b, 4-101 and 4-119. The following new permit narrative pages are added: 2-462n, 2-
520xx, 2-523z and 2-524h. The following revised permit tables are enclosed: Table 4.8-6 (pages 2 [4-186]
and 3 [4-186a]) and Table 4.8-7 (pages 1 [4-189], 2 [4-190] and 3 [4-190a]). Twelve revised Appendix Q
as -built sediment pond drawings are enclosed. The following revised map is enclosed: M3 (sheets 1, 2
and 3). Topographic cross sections are enclosed for L, N and the Ash Pits. Engineering Certifications for
the East Pyeatt Pond System (including Figures 1, As -Built Ponds & Figure 2, As -Built Ponds 2019) and
the Middle Pyeatt Pond System (including Figure 1, As -Built Ponds)
Revised Pages, Tables and Maps:
Revised page 3-27a has been considerably truncated, removing the historical
discussion and reference AAI geotechnical report regarding the 2006 slide.
1. Please explain TMI's decision to remove this historical perspective from the
permit at this time. It seems relevant to retain until Phase III bond release.
Trapper Response to Comment 1: The historical discussion was put back into enclosed page 3-27a. The
tense was changed from present to past.
