The initial preparation of the surface before extraction of borrow material will consist of stripping the topsoil and placing topsoil in a stockpile for use later during reclamation. Front-end loaders, scrapers, excavators or other suitable equipment will be used in order to remove topsoil and borrow material as quickly as possible followed by site reclamation. The short duration of the borrow operation and timely site reclamation will minimize impacts to the hydrologic balance. • SEMA's Corporate Stormwater Management Plan will be implemented to protect the hydrologic balance. • Ground water will not be intercepted or otherwise impacted. • The reclaimed surface will be returned to land suitable for rangeland. The pit slopes will be 3H:1 V or less. Upon completion of mining, all runoff will be contained within the pit and will infiltrate into the ground water system.
