system by the "first fill/intermittent fill" of the gravel pit, water retained in mined gravel, water used for dust
control, water used for production of concrete and asphalt, vehicle washing, domestic uses, and landscape
irrigation. The total annual depletion to the Blue River estimated for 2017 and 2018 equals 112 AF per year.
Everist has permanently dried-up 162 acres of historically irrigated fields as a consequence of its mining
operations in MCR.As in previous SWSP submitted by Everist and approved by the State Engineer's Office,
this SWSP proposes to use the resulting irrigation C.U. credits to offset out-of-priority depletions to the Blue
River. Additional augmentation water is available to Everist through its water service contracts with the
USBR (up to 60.63 AF/year) and with Summit County (up to 3.3 AF). Through these contracts, releases
from Green Mountain and Dillon Reservoirs have been used to replace depletions that are not met by the
historic C.U. credits.Table 12 displays,on a monthly basis,the water consumptive uses, lagged depletions,
and replacement sources associated with mining operations at MCR for 2017 and 2018.
Table 12
Consumptive Uses, Lagged Depletions, and Replacement Sources for 2017-2018
Month Total Lagged Historic C.U. The accounting worksheet will calculate the corresponding water demands.
Moreover, the accounting worksheets will display the monthly lagged depletions and the source of the
replacement water (i.e., C.U. credits, Green Mountain water, or Dillon Reservoir water). Copies of the
accounting worksheets will be provided to the Division Engineer and Water Commissioner on a monthly
basis.
14 URESOURCE
