Designated Chemicals Emergency Response Plan Climax Molybdenum Company <br /> Permit 1977-493 <br /> Table T-A-2: Emergency Response Procedures <br /> 4 Evacuation Call for evacuation of all non-essential personnel from areas impacted or <br /> having potential to be impacted by the incident. <br /> If there is imminent danger or injured personnel, the Emergency Coordinator <br /> Request Help or their designee should ensure Administration has summoned the <br /> 5 and Complete appropriate internal/external emergency response services (e.g. site <br /> External responders, fire, police, etc.). Additionally, contact should be made with the <br /> Notification site environmental department as appropriate to ensure government agency <br /> notifications are made as required. <br /> If safe to do so and individuals are properly trained: <br /> ■ Attempt to extinguish incipient stage fires, <br /> 6 Mitigation Shut off pumps, close valves, etc. if material is still being released; <br /> ■ Shut off motors and electrical circuits, and extinguish ignition sources in <br /> the area impacted by the incident; and <br /> ■ In case of injury, begin first aid up to the level of individual training. <br /> Develop a security perimeter around the area(s) impacted by the incident. For <br /> 7 Containment spills or other releases, contain released materials with absorbents, booms, <br /> drain covers, or earthen material, if safe to do so. <br /> Cleanup and Characterize and provide for disposal of all wastes resulting from the incident. <br /> 8 outside The phone numbers of outside resources, which may be needed to assist in <br /> assistance cleaning up significant incidences, are provided in this plan. <br /> Ensure all emergency equipment is returned to service; make necessary <br /> 9 Follow-up notifications prior to restarting operations, review the incident and determine <br /> root causes; provide written follow-up to agencies, if necessary. <br /> T-A-4 Available Emergency Equipment <br /> The office/facility/project maintains communications systems for emergency notification. A variety of on- <br /> site equipment suitable for emergency response and accessibility to off-site resources are maintained. <br /> T-A-4.1 On-Site Response Equipment <br /> A wide variety of primary emergency response equipment is maintained at the facility in a state of <br /> operational readiness in close proximity to areas that have an increased possibility for potentially harmful <br /> releases and incidents. Employees are responsible for knowing the location and use of this emergency <br /> response equipment. Table T-A-3—On-Site Response Equipment provides a summary of available <br /> primary response equipment.
