RECEIVED <br /> AUG 2 1 Z018 <br /> DIVISION OF RECLAMATION <br /> MINING AND SAFETY <br /> August 17, 2018 <br /> AGGREGATE <br /> Mr. Jared Ebert INDUSTRIES <br /> Environmental Protection Specialist <br /> Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety <br /> 1313 Sherman Street, Room 215 <br /> Denver, CO 80203 <br /> Re: Notice of Material to be Imported for Backfill <br /> Permit No. M-1977-436 - Brighton Mine <br /> Dear Jared: <br /> This letter is submitted as Notice to the Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety of Aggregate <br /> Industries-WCR, Inc.'s (AI) intent to backfill inert structural fill generated outside of the approved <br /> permit area into an excavated pit at the above-referenced operation. In accordance with Construction <br /> Material Rule 3.1.5(9), the following information is provided in support of this Notice: <br /> (a) Inert fill material will be obtained from a variety of off-site sources within the <br /> vicinity of the Brighton Mine site from time to time as such inert materials from excavation <br /> activities for construction of basements and buildings, land clearing, demolition projects, <br /> and road and highway construction become available. The off-site materials will be <br /> accepted in accordance with AI's "Inert Material Acceptance Policy" a copy of which is <br /> enclosed. This material will be incorporated into the reclamation of the sand and gravel <br /> mine site operated under MLRB 112c Permit No. M-1977-436, located at 14900 Riverdale <br /> Road, Brighton, Colorado. <br /> (b) The approximate volume of inert material to be imported and backfilled as set forth <br /> in (a) above is estimated to be a maximum of approximately 30,000 cubic yards. <br /> (c) Enclosed is an affidavit certifying that the material to be imported is clean and inert, <br /> as defined in Rule 1.1(20). In accordance with the above-referenced Policy, Al also obtains <br /> and maintains on file an"Inert Fill Materials Profile Form" form, a copy of which is <br /> included with the enclosed policy. <br /> (d) It is anticipated that hauling of import material to the site and backfilling with the <br /> imported material would commence upon approval by the Division of this Notice or, if the <br /> Division does not respond, within thirty(30) days of the Division's receipt of this Notice. <br /> Aggregate Industries <br /> West Central Region,Inc. <br /> 1687 Cole Boulevard,Suite 300 <br /> Golden,CO 80401 <br /> Telephone:303-985-1070 An Equal Opportunity Employer <br />
