MINING PLAN EXHIBIT D(CONT)
of the storm-water runoff questions arising from the Clean Water
Act . Isolation berms or ditches will be constructed within the
setbacks around the mine to prevent stormwater from entering or
leaving the site . No water will be discharged from the pit
unless done so under a CPDS permit and all stormwater will be
collected on the site and treated before being released if it
comes in contact with disturbed areas as required.
We have adequate water available to meet the requirements for
evaporative loss at the mine, see EXHIBITG. An application will
be made for a well permit to address the need for evaporative
losses associated with mining in the ground water table . It will
establish the amount of water needed for augmentation on all post
1981 lake area when mining ends .
The following information is provided to explain the Map Exhibit
C-1 Mining Plan Map (option 1) , Map Exhibit C-2 Mining Plan Map
(Option 2) , Map Exhibit F-1 Reclamation Plan Map (Option 1) , and
Map Exhibit F-2 Reclamation Plan Map (Option 2 ) . The previous
mining plan discussion cover Option 1 where all of the area that
is minable will be disturbed and reclaimed as show on the maps
for that Option. As mining competition on the old Plant Site
Area the operator will make a determination it is feasible to
move into the old pre-law area in the northeast part of the mine
area . If it is , Option 1 will be implemented and mining will
continue as show on Map Exhibit C-1 and result in the area being
reclaimed as shown in Map Exhibit F-1 . If at that time it is
determined mining is complete then Option 2 will be chosen and no
disturbance will take place in the 9 . 36 pre-law area in the
northeast corner of the permit area. Map Exhibit C-2 & F-2 show
how the site would develop and be reclaimed under Option 2 .
Should Option 2 be chosen, the operator will file a Technical
Revision with the division so the final reclamation plan will
match the as built features on the mine .
11 (revised 8/10/2018)
