12 July, 2018 C1981044/Williams Fork RAR <br /> <br /> <br />Number of Partial Inspection this Fiscal Year: 1 <br />Number of Partial Inspections this Fiscal Year: 0 <br /> <br /> Page 3 of 6 <br /> <br />TOPSOIL -Rule 4.06 <br />Removal4.06.2; Substitute Materials 4.06.4(4); Storage and Protection 4.06.3; Redistribution 4.06.4: <br />o Many small topsoil piles exist throughout the site, and will be used in the reclamation <br />activities to achieve approximate original contour. <br /> <br />BACKFILL and GRADING – Rule 4.14 <br />o Backfilling and grading operations appeared to be progressing as permitted. <br />o Portal area where backfilling is currently taking place is illustrated in photo 2. <br />Mounds of material await grading and final contour. <br /> <br />REVEGETATION - Rule 4.15 <br />General Requirements 4.15.1; <br />o Vegetation with the exception of the riparian zone had browned but no bare areas were <br />noted in the imagery. <br />o Reclamation and revegetation appeared to be progressing adequately with established <br />vegetation in place. <br />o No extensive areas devoid of vegetation were noted. <br /> <br />RECLAMATION- Rule 4.1 <br />General Requirements 4. <br />o The existing coal pile has been hauled to Twenty Mile mine. <br />o The silo has been demolished. Rebar appears to have been removed for recycling, and <br />concrete hauled to portal and mounded for backfill, (photos 2 and 4). This area appeared <br />most active in the imagery with numerous machines operating. <br />o Facilities area appears orderly with no apparent offsite impacts visible in the imagery <br />(photo3). <br /> <br /> Photo 1: Site overview, looking north west, facilities are toward the west <br />and portal area is in the foreground.
