July 30, 2018 C-1980-007/West Elk Mine LDS <br /> <br /> <br />Number of Partial Inspection this Fiscal Year: 1 <br />Number of Complete Inspections this Fiscal Year: 0 <br /> <br /> Page 3 of 10 <br /> <br /> RN-7, which was found complete on February 1, 2016. The decision due date has been extended <br />to August 31, 2018. <br /> PR-15, which was found complete on April 5, 2018. An informal conference was scheduled for <br />August 1, 2018, which dictates a window for decision due date of August 21 - September 30, <br />2018. <br />PROCESSING WASTE/COAL MINE WASTE PILES – Rule 4.10 and 4.11 <br />Drainage Control; Surface Stabilization; Placement: <br /> Material was being removed from the RPEE, transported down the hill by haul truck, and blended back in <br />to produced coal. The surface of the RPEE had been lowered by an estimated 6 -8 feet, but was still graded so as to <br />drain as designed. <br />All temporarily stockpiled material had been removed from the surface of the RPE. <br /> <br />ROADS – Rule 4.03 <br />Construction 4.03.1(3)/4.03.2(3), Drainage 4.03.1(4)/4.03.2(4), Surfacing and Maintenance4.03.1(5) and <br />(6)/4.03.2(5) and (6), Reclamation 4.03.1(7)/4.03.2(7): <br /> Roads around the facilities area were in good condition, and were being regular ly watered. <br /> <br />SLIDES and DAMAGE - Rule 4.12: <br /> The slump on the outslope of the Materials Storage Bench appeared stable, with no evidence of any recent <br />movement.
