The bank stabilization would consist of installing concrete bank stabilization,
installing four concrete cross vanes, and laying back the banks above the stabilized banks. Due to
limited funding and the availability of dean broken concrete on-site,Transit Mix is proposing to use
broken concrete to stabilize the banks and as material for the cross vanes. All exposed reinforcing
material would be removed from the broken concrete prior to the proposed work. Construction design
plans are provided in Appendix C.
Bank Stabilization
To stabilize the east bank of the Arkansas River,Transit Mix is proposing to install 415 linear feet of
broken concrete bank protection.
