Frank Ferris of ERMR was present for the entire inspection. The weather <br />conditions were mostly clear and the temperature was approximately 85F. The ground was dry. <br />AVAILABILITY OF RECORDS – Rule 5.02.4(1): <br /> All required records were on file and available for review at the mine office. No problems were noted <br />with the records review. Please see the availability of records checklist at the end of this report. <br /> <br />HYDROLOGIC BALANCE - Rule 4.05 <br />Drainage Control 4.05.1, 4.05.2, 4.05.3; Siltation Structures 4.05.5, 4.05.6; Discharge Structures 4.05.7, 4.05.10; <br />Diversions 4.05.4; Effluent Limits 4.05.2; Ground Water Monitoring 4.05.13; Surface Water Monitoring 4.05.13; <br />Drainage – Acid and Toxic Materials 4.05.8; Impoundments 4.05.6, 4.05.9; Stream Buffer Zones 4.05.18: <br /> Pond 7 contained water and was discharging. The CO2 tanks and aerator were in operation. <br /> <br />Pond 8 contained water. <br /> <br />Pond 9 did not contain water. The primary discharge structure was free of obstructions. The inlet structures were <br />in good condition. Ditch C15 was free of obstructions. <br /> <br />Pond 12 did not contain water. The discharge structure was free of obstructions. The inlet structures were in good <br />condition (photo 1). A couple of tamarisk plants were noted and need to be treated. A few knapweed plants were <br />noted on the east end and need to be treated. <br /> <br />Pond 13 contained water and was discharging. The trench drain was also discharging. The three emergency <br />spillway culverts were free of obstructions. Some Canada thistle plants were noted by the southeast inlet (photo 2) <br />and along the southern bank. A couple of tamarisk shoots were seen growing in the cattails on the southern bank. <br />Both of these species need to be treated. The Canada thistle plants by the discharge structure have been treated. <br />
