c. Ore Slopes above the Pregnant Solution Storage Area (PSSA) is 2.5(H):1(V), a bench
with a minimum width of 55' is required between the crest of the lower lift and
the toe of the new lift.
d. Ore slopes above the Mill Platform were designed to be 2.0(H):1(V), a bench with a
minimum width of 30' is required between the crest of the lower lift and the toe of
the new lift.
2) Lift transitions:Based on review of the TR submittal and discussions with CC&V personnel on site on
May 23, 2018, there is an omission in this TR regarding ore stacking during the transition to a new
lift. Please provide a plan for the transition to new lifts.
1.a
1
PROPOSED4
°`100'' 'VARIESBASED ON °
PAD SLOPE
1 2' DGF OVER 80 mil DOUBLE
°•< :c . 2 MA) SIDED TEXTURED LLDPE
20% GEOMEMBRANE AND 1' OF SLF
0RE
°0 n
ep
As shown in the figure above, the total lift height in the very small transition section varies between
111.8' and 120',depending on the slope of the pad. The ore being placed is contained inside a "v"
section against the edge of the pad which prevents the ore from traveling down the slope in an
uncontrolled manner.
3) Material tracking and placement: There appears to be generally four classifications of material to be
placed on the VLF: crushed ore, ROM < 3 inches, ROM > 3 inches, and tailings. As there are
different criteria for the placement of each of these materials, please describe how the mine tracks
these various materials source and placement on the VLF to ensure these criteria are met.
CC&V employs an Ore Control group which designates all material types and routing.
Subsequently, material is classified and routed to an appropriate location as described in the VLF2
Ore Stacking Guidelines, submitted as Attachment 1 to TR103.Based on the stacking plan, each
haul truck operator is given a load location assignment through Minestar.Once the load is
delivered, the final dump location data is recorded. The final stacking location and material
designation data is tracked through the MineStar Mining Management System.
